Due to the hot sales of tree grates and their manufacturers being thick and turbid, many companies accept inferior materials in order to save costs. So how to discern the quality of tree combs with keen eyes? Judging the quality of a product starts with the use of raw materials, followed by determining the product. Practice is the only way to verify the truth, and time is the most fair judgment. Poor quality tree comb products that cannot withstand the scrutiny of time will expose their flaws.

A. Selection of raw materials. The raw materials used for the tree grates are resin, fiberglass fibers, and calcium powder added in a ratio of 1:1:1. High quality tree grates are made of high-quality resin: unsaturated ortho benzene resin 196, colorless and transparent. Low viscosity, low heat release, low shrinkage, high-speed curing, high-speed compatibility, and bright radiance. The produced tree grates are flat and smooth, with good radiance, high intensity, and a certain degree of durability. If inferior resin is used, it will be completely opposite. Inferior resin is turbid, high viscosity, high heat release, high shrinkage, relatively slow curing, and poor compatibility. The produced tree grates have many pores, are prone to cracking, and have poor strength and resistance.

Fiberglass fibers are the ones that can enhance the durability of the grid in the tree grate. High quality fiberglass fibers, such as alkali free fiberglass fibers, have higher strength than steel wires and have certain resistance, chemical stability, good weather resistance, almost no water absorption and no combustion when exposed to fire. Its high strength can also be used as tire cord. The fiberglass fibers of Huaxian Sitong Company are laid in 8-9 layers, so the product strength is guaranteed. Some manufacturers use fiberglass fibers with high alkali fibers as alkali free fibers, which have lower strength and poor water and alkali resistance.

The additives for tree grates are calcium powder or aluminum powder. High quality additives have exquisite and bright white powder, flame retardant properties, and completely blend with resin. The resulting boards have beautiful colors, good transparency, and high durability. On the contrary, low-quality additives have rough and dull powder, are not flame retardant, and produce boards that lack radiance, are brittle, and have no durability.

B. Comparison of products. High quality tree grate products have no obvious cracks on the surface, fewer pores, bright and pure colors, good transparency, and a certain degree of durability and strength. The surface smoothness is good, and the service life is long. However, low-quality tree grates have cracks on the surface, numerous pores, and impure color, which is not suitable for radiance. Its service life is also relatively short.

C. Practice is the only criterion for verifying truth, and it is also the most fair judgment. In the process of practical application, tree combs can also expose their real strength. High quality tree combs have a slightly dull color after a few years of use, and the entire board is intact without obvious harm. Poor quality tree combs cannot withstand practical inspection, and after a few years of use, obvious hazards such as falling, cracking, and air holes will appear. The board is not so flat, and the color degradation is severe, leading to collective aging, The same common tree comb takes twenty years to use, but after two years, inferior tree combs will show signs of collective aging, resulting in huge losses for customers.
