Due to the hot sales of fiberglass grating products, fiberglass grating manufacturers are also mixed, and many enterprises use inferior raw materials to save costs. So how to identify the quality of glass grilles? Red Eyed Rabbit kindly reminds you: first judge the quality of the product based on the raw materials used, then judge the finished product. The final approach is to use the only standard time to verify the authenticity, which is the most fair judgment. Poor quality glass grille products cannot withstand the scrutiny of time and will be exposed.

Raw material selection

The raw materials used for fiberglass grating are resin and fiberglass, and calcium powder is filled in a ratio of 1:1:1. High quality fiberglass grille adopts high-quality resin: unsaturated ortho benzene resin 196, colorless and transparent. Low viscosity, low heat release, low shrinkage, high-speed curing, high-speed compatibility, and brightness. The glass grille produced is smooth and glossy, with high strength and a certain degree of toughness. If inferior resin is used, it will be completely opposite to inferior resin in terms of turbidity, high viscosity, high heat release, high shrinkage, relatively slow curing, and poor compatibility. The produced fiberglass grating is porous, easy to break, with poor strength and toughness.

Fiberglass fibers can enhance the toughness of fiberglass grilles. High quality glass fibers such as alkali free glass fiber filaments have certain toughness, chemical stability, good weather resistance, almost no water absorption, no fire, and high strength. They can also be used as tire cord. Okay. Under normal circumstances, fiberglass wire is laid in 8-9 layers to maintain product strength. Some manufacturers use glass fibers as high alkali fibers for alkaline threads, which have low strength and poor alkali resistance.

The filler for fiberglass grating is calcium powder or aluminum powder. High quality filler is delicate and white, with flame retardant properties, and fully combines with resin. The resulting panel is beautiful in color and transparent. On the contrary, inferior filling powder is rough, dull, and not flame retardant. The cardboard produced has no luster, is relatively brittle, and lacks toughness.

Comparison of finished products

High quality fiberglass grating products have no obvious cracks in appearance, few pores, bright colors, good transparency, certain toughness, good surface smoothness, and long service life; But low-quality glass grille products have cracks on the appearance, many pores, and a color that is not pure and glossy enough. Its service life is also very short.

Practice is the only criterion for testing truth. Time is also the fairest judgment

In practical use, fiberglass grilles will also demonstrate their true strength. After several years of using high-quality fiberglass grilles, the overall color of the board appears slightly dull without obvious damage, while inferior fiberglass grilles cannot withstand practical use. After testing, it has been found that after a few years of use, there will be obvious damage such as porosity, corrosion, and fracture. The board is not so flat, the color degradation is severe, and the overall aging occurs. Generally, fiberglass grilles need to be used for 20 years, but after two years, low-quality fiberglass grilles will appear. The overall aging phenomenon brings huge losses to customers.
