Due to the high sales of FRP grating products in recent years, manufacturers of FRP gratings are mixed. Many companies use inferior raw materials to save costs. So how to distinguish the quality of fiberglass grilles? To determine the quality of a product, we must start with the raw materials used.
Selection of raw materials: The raw materials used in FRP grids include resin, FRP fiber filaments, and filled calcium powder, with a ratio of 1:1:1. High quality fiberglass grating uses high-quality resin. The fiberglass grating is flat, smooth, with good gloss, high strength, and a certain degree of toughness. Poor quality resin is cloudy, high viscosity, high heat release, high shrinkage rate, relatively slow curing, and poor compatibility. The glass fiber reinforced plastic grille produced is porous, prone to cracking, and has poor strength and toughness.
In FRP products, glass fiber plays an important role in increasing material strength and is a load-bearing body. The skeleton of fiberglass and the strength of fiberglass mainly depend on the strength of the fiberglass. Resin plays a role in corrosion resistance and adhesion in wrapped fiberglass products. The fibers are integrated together through resin bonding. Resin transfers force to fibers to share the load. This resin is resistant to corrosion and high temperatures. The quality of aging resistance determines the corrosion resistance, high temperature resistance, and aging resistance of fiberglass. Therefore, selecting the appropriate resin is an important prerequisite for ensuring product quality and safe use.
