With the upgrading and obsolescence of electronic devices, the environmental pollution caused by abandoning fiberglass products has attracted people's attention. To this end, the global industry is intensifying discussions on the recycling and utilization of fiberglass waste, with new skills emerging one after another.

Now, the simplest way to handle fiberglass waste is to landfill and crush it as filling material. Replacing calcium carbonate with the produced fiberglass waste powder can be used as a filler for automotive body panels without compromising the surface smoothness of the panels. Nowadays, engineering technicians are able to retrieve metal materials from waste printed circuit boards, but there are still certain difficulties in retrieving the substrate of printed circuit boards - epoxy resin laminates. In addition, the development speed of thermoplastic resin fiberglass has surpassed that of thermosetting resin fiberglass for many years. Therefore, the recycling of waste thermoplastic resin fiberglass has also been put on the agenda. Brunei University in the UK is exploring the possibility of using thermosetting resin waste as a filler for thermoplastic resins; Pennsy Vania Skills University in the United States is currently discussing the use of crushed epoxy resin laminated material waste as fillers for sintering; Ford Motor Company in the United States is discussing the possibility of reclaiming the use of ring structure thermoplastic resin composite materials; Polish researchers are exploring the possibility of producing abrasives from recycled laminated material waste.
