The laying of fiberglass grilles can be completed through specialized equipment modified by tractors or cars, usually manually. Both ends of each roll of fiberglass mesh paper tube are marked with orange and blue markings. Before laying, the adhesive surface should be selected downwards, and the color of the above marking should be on one end to facilitate construction and avoid laying the adhesive surface. Error. When placing fiberglass grilles, they should be kept flat, fastened, and aligned on both sides. You can use a level to give the fiberglass grating effective tension. After paving, use a clean steel wheel roller to roll again. The fiberglass grille is clean, bright, and brightly colored.
At present, commonly used fiberglass gratings have both self-adhesive and non self-adhesive properties. Adhesive with self-adhesive adhesive can be placed directly on a flat base layer. Stainless steel snap rings and steel nails are usually used to fix non self-adhesive materials. The materials required for fixation are:
① The fixed 50 × 50 × 0.3mm stainless steel snap ring is required to be flat, not warped, and should be chamfered.
② 2-inch steel nails.
When using fixed steel nails or stainless steel buckle rings to place FRP grilles, please first fix one end of the fixing buckle and steel nail to the lower structure that has been sprayed with adhesive asphalt. Steel nails can be hammered or nailed. Then stretch the grid longitudinally and fix it in sections, with a length of 2-5m for each section. It can also be divided into multiple parts based on the distance of the expansion joint, and the position of the steel nails can be set in the gap of the expansion joint. When the grille is tightened, the fiberglass is in a straight and tensioned state in both vertical and horizontal directions.
The overlap of fiberglass grating is longitudinal overlap, with an overlap width of no less than 20mm and a horizontal overlap width of no less than 15mm. Vertical overlap should be placed on the former according to the direction of asphalt laying. During the fixing process, do not nail the steel nails onto the fiberglass reinforced plastic grille, and do not directly hit the fiberglass reinforced plastic grille with a hammer. If the steel nail breaks or the snap ring becomes loose after fixation, it needs to be re fixed. After placing and fixing the fiberglass grille, it must be rolled and stabilized appropriately using a rubber roller to firmly adhere to the original road surface.
In actual construction, some construction units directly lay glass fiber grilles after spraying viscous oil layers, and then roll them after rolling, resulting in better results and less wrinkling of the glass fiber grilles.
In the actual operation process, the construction quality has a significant impact on the effectiveness of future use of fiberglass grilles. Therefore, it is particularly important to strengthen quality supervision and improve the technical level of construction personnel.
