1. Selection of raw materials:
The raw materials for fiberglass mesh are resin, fiberglass, and filled with 1:1 calcium powder. High quality FRP mesh is made of high-quality resin: unsaturated ortho benzene resin 196, colorless and transparent. Low viscosity, low heat release, low shrinkage rate, high-speed curing, high-speed compatibility, glossiness. The FRP mesh produced is smooth, glossy, high-strength, and has a certain degree of toughness. If inferior resin is used, it will be completely opposite. Poor quality resin has turbidity, high viscosity, high heat release, high shrinkage rate, relatively slow curing, and poor compatibility. The FRP mesh produced is porous, prone to fracture, and has poor strength and toughness.
Glass fiber reinforced plastic (GFRP) can enhance the toughness of the mesh. The strength of high-quality glass fiber, such as alkali free glass fiber, is higher than that of steel wire. It has a certain degree of toughness, chemical stability, good weather resistance, almost no water absorption, and no fire resistance. Its high strength can also be used as tire curtain fabric. In general, the grille and fiberglass wire are 8-9 layers, and the product strength is guaranteed to be positive. Some manufacturers use glass fiber filaments that are highly alkaline and serve as non alkaline filaments. High alkali silk has low strength and poor water and alkali resistance.
The filler for GRP grating is calcium powder or aluminum powder. High quality filler is delicate and white, flame retardant, and fully integrated with resin. The produced boards have bright colors, good transparency, and good toughness. On the contrary, poor filling powder is rough, dull, and flame retardant, resulting in a dull, brittle, and tough board.
2. Comparison of finished products:
High quality FRP grating products have no obvious cracks in appearance, few pores, bright and pure color, good transparency, certain toughness and strength, good surface smoothness, and long service life. However, low-quality FRP grid products have problems such as cracks, multiple pores, impure color, and insufficient luster in appearance. Its service life is also very short.
3. Practice is the sole criterion for testing truth and the most impartial judge:
In actual use, the true strength of the FRP mesh will also be reflected. After several years of use, the high-quality FRP grille will have a slightly darker color, and the entire panel will be intact without obvious damage. The reinforced fiberglass grating cannot withstand practical testing. After several years of use, there will be obvious damage such as corrosion, fracture, and porosity. The wooden board is not so smooth, and the color usually fades. Fiberglass grilles need to be used for 20 years. But two years later, defective fiberglass grilles will experience overall aging, causing huge losses to customers.
